Due to COVID-19, it's likely additional health and sanitation protocols will be required. I will contact each client directly regarding any changes.

LIMITED EXPOSURE

 

Clients must reschedule when ill or contagious. Late cancel fees are waived. Rescheduling is permitted only once past the CDC's contagious timeline for the condition.

If a client is unsure if symptoms are due to illness or just allergies, I encourage to err on the side of caution.

 

If/when I am ill or suspect I am contagious, I reschedule and close my office until I am past the contagious period as well.

 

Additionally, my office is just one room and one client restroom. No waiting area. No staff. I schedule only one client at a time, with a 30+ minute window between each.

 

A small office with limited traffic naturally creates a low-risk, limited exposure environment.

MINIMAL SURFACES

 

Furniture and decor are intentionally selected to limit the quantity and texture of contact surfaces. All surfaces in the office are non-porous (no fabrics) and minimalist, thus quick and easy to properly sanitize.
 

All frequently contacted surfaces are disinfected per manufacturer guidelines between every appointment with an EPA-registered hospital-grade anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral solution. The entire office is cleaned twice daily.
 

Wherever possible, I use tools that reduce or eliminate surface contact, like trashcans with foot pedal lids, email intake forms, and swipe-less check-out.

EXTRA PRECAUTION

Waterproof barriers are beneath the linens on both the massage table and face cradle to protect all other layers (heating pad, foam topper) from direct contact. All linens are properly removed and changed after each client.

A HEPA air purifier with UVC sanitizer runs 24/7 within the massage treatment space, and the HVAC system uses a hospital-grade air filter with a MERV 13 rating.

 

I don't diffuse oils or spray artificial fragrances within the massage office. I often use a lavender oil air freshener, sandalwood incense, or natural soy candles in other adjacent rooms, but will refrain upon request.

Clients are asked to refrain from applying heavily scented oils, perfumes, or lotions prior to while at the office.

By request, I can provide a gloved massage treatment.

SOAPS & LOTIONS

 

Linens are laundered with a fragrance-free and dye-free sensitive skin detergent and a non-bleach sanitizer.

Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is always available. I use a fragrance-free and dye-free soap to my wash hands and arms before and after every massage therapy session. 

During the massage, I use a non-scented, hypoallergenic lotion dispensed from a pumper (no cross-contaminated open containers). After request or consent, I may apply a topical muscle reliever or Simply Earth essential oil. Clients are welcome to bring their own lotions or oils.
