Your credit card info reserves your appointment. It's not charged, unless you no-show or late cancel so bring payment with you. Want to pre-pay? Buy a gift card online.
Scheduling for someone else? Use their name for the appointment. If it's a surprise, still use their name, but your email/phone so auto-confirms don't spoil the surprise.
