Hey! I'm Raechel. I'm a licensed massage therapist and owner of Massage Sci in Holland, Michigan.

Here's a bit more about me.

I'm west Michigan born and raised and have called Holland my home for about twelve years.

For many years I worked at nonprofit organizations, donning many hats - marketing, operations, events management, fund development, and grant writing. I had a car accident injury that was greatly helped by massage which sparked my interest in a career change.

I graduated from a medically focused massage school and gained valuable experience in both clinical and spa environments. In 2015 I opened Massage Sci in Holland Michigan with a focus on helping people understand, manage, and treat persistent and chronic pain.

I enjoy writing about wellness; nerding out about sci-fi or Dungeons & Dragons; trying to grow plants; building things and sailing with my significant other; thoughtful conversations with close friends; loving my German Sheppard dog; and getting lost in a book.

There are many variances in approach, style, and education when it comes to massage therapy. One massage can be very different than the next.

As a client of mine, you can expect my practice to be evidence-informed, my business to be professional, and my approach to be results-based.

An evidence-informed massage therapy practice means I combine your unique story along with the most current scientific understanding, to create a custom session. No cookie-cutter.

You can expect your massage and any strategies I suggest to be specific to your health and wellness goals.

Massage Sci is my full-time job. It's not my part-time gig or a side-hobby. Since 2014 I've provided massage therapy and worked with many other great health and wellness providers.

You can expect a customized, quality, effective massage therapy session for every body and everybody.

Truly listening to the results you need is a top priority and part of the biopsychosocial model I practice.

You can expect I have placed time, intention, and thought into designing each interaction and treatment approach while remaining open to feedback and constant improvement.
